hoover dam and old neon

Tuesday 2nd May 2017
Tuesday morning saw Brontes birthday and today was going to be about doing what ever he wanted to do for his birthday.  We drove to Hoover Dam and we stopped at the bridge prior to the dam and we walked over the bridge.  It is so high and that's how I got the first photo below.  We then drove over the dam to the other side and parked the car so we could walk over the dam wall and look back to the bridge.  The water is getting lower every year we come here.  It was not too hot walking around only about 34 degrees which is nice.  We then drove back to Boulder and had some Tacos for lunch.  From there we come back to the strip and had a walk around in the Fashion Mall before heading back to our room to get ready for our Neon Boneyard Tour.
The tour started at 6.30pm and went for 1 hour.  The tour was pretty good but unfortunately we couldn't get a night time one to see the lights.  They were all booked out.  As it turns out there are only 7 functioning signs in the boneyard anyway.  The actual building used to be the main lobby of an old motel the 'La Concha' which had been moved from its original location near the strip.  The tour was really good.
After that we went to Hash House a GoGo on Sahara for our dinner before going back to Fremont Street to see the Fremont Experience.  By this time it was after 11pm and we decided to go back to our room.  Tomorrow is our last day in Vegas before we fly to Seattle.
