Decided to head to the Tallahassee Motor Museum today for a quick look as it is meant to have some nice cars.  The owner of the museum is also the owner of all the cars.  It is a private collection and his name is Devoe Moore.  Wow I wish I could collect cars on this scale.  They had so many brand new cars that still have the stickers on the windows and plastic on the seats, never been driven at all.  What a waste really.  They have a DeLorean (#20015) which looked fairly nice but needed a bit of tlc.  I asked the lady there if I could go over the barrier and have a look inside the car.  She said yes and I had a very quick sneaky look taking a picture of the VIN on the way!!!!
From the museum we went south to the St Marks Wildlife Refuge where there is a lighthouse built in 1931.  There was a lot of marsh land from St Marks Wildlife Refuge entrance to the lighthouse with pull outs along the way.  Placed along the road were signs warning you about the alligators.  The weather is hot and sticky, the humidity is quite amazing.
We then hit the road again and headed for Tampa where we spent the night.  We are now heading south towards Miami and Key West.

really, the bang bang lady!!

Today we drove from Columbus to Tallahassee but before leaving Columbus we had a look around town and the river.  The Chattahoochee River divides Georgia and Alabama and was mostly used in the 1800's for cotton manufacture and paddle boats used the river to bring cotton to the mills.  Today the mills are condos and they would be amazing to live in.  The historic section of Columbus was beautiful and the old houses just amazing.  We did a small piece of the Chattahoochee River Walk and then a lap through Broadway which is the main street where there were plenty of art sculptures to look at.  After spending a couple of hours looking around, we headed off towards Tallahassee which is now into Florida.  Heading further south on Tuesday.

Today takes us for a trip to the Atlanta Zoo to see the pandas.  Atlanta have 4 pandas at the zoo which have been there since 1999 where Lun Lun and Yang Yang were put together to mate.  They have now two more pandas.  The zoo celebrated the birth of its first cub, Mei Lan, on September 6, 2006. Mei Lan was the only giant panda cub born in the U.S. that year. A second cub, male Xi Lan, born August 30, 2008, was the only giant panda cub born in the U.S. in 2008. A third cub, Po, was born 3 November 2010, the first panda born in the US during the 2010 calendar year.

It was beautiful weather and we had a fantastic few hours at the zoo before heading to see the home ground of the Atlanta Braves, Turner Field.  We did a tour of the entire complex including the pitch, locker rooms, corporate boxes and media area.  It would be awesome to see a game here with 30,000 fans cheering them on.

We headed out of town to Columbus Georgia in the afternoon as we head south to Miami.  BTW the weather is magnificent.
