Today we went to visit the trolley museum which was just out of Pittsburgh.  The museum was very cool and it combined a 4 mile track that they took you for a ride in a trolley along.  They had a shed which was full of restored and unrestored trolleys as well and that was interesting.  They also have the fully restored 'street car named desire' trolley form the movie.  After the museum we continued on to Columbus Ohio as we make our way to Indianapolis.  The hotel in Columbus is meant to be really nice.

Sunday 21st June
Today we decided to head into the old city to check out some of the sites. The old city is home to some unique buildings and items that are important parts of American history. The Liberty Bell is held here in one museum which is free to enter. The house where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, the site where Benjamin Franklin's house once stood. All of these sites were really interesting and we followed a walking trail around the city looking at all the relevant sites. The first stop though was a park in the city called ‘Love Park’ due to a sculpture located in the park in front of a fountain. We got some free cans of Red Bull from some guys giving them away in a promo while we were there.

We walked quite a long way around the city and made our way to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. We walked to the centre of the bridge and then back again to the city. It was a really good view of the city from the bridge. Made our way through the city and headed to the train to catch it back to the motel. Once back at the motel we spent some time having a rest and then went out for dinner.

We also had to organise all our luggage and the car as tomorrow we are heading to Washington to drop back the car and we need to pack and fit everything in our luggage cause at the moment stuff is everywhere and it needs sorting out. It’s also about a 250 km drive to get to Washington and we need to be there by 12.00pm.

Sunday 24th May

Up early today and the first stop was the Duquesne Incline. We put the address in to the GPS and it took us to the top of the incline. The plan was to drive to the bottom and catch the incline to the top and back. Since we were already at the top we just had a look around and took some photos. We really didn’t need to pay the $8 to ride the incline.

After that we went to the Andy Warhol Museum. It was really good, 6 floors of paintings and stories of the life of Warhol. Bronte wanted to buy some stuff in the Warhol shop so we now own two Warhol prints that we need to frame when we get home. Had lunch in downtown Pittsburgh and then went for a drive around the town for a look. The weather had come in bad and it started to pour with rain. So we decided to check out the rest of Pittsburgh by car. Continued to drive around and we ended up back at Walmart where we bought some stuff for dinner and then went back to the room to eat it. Got back to the motel and had a bit of a rest. Went to the exercise room and ran for about half an hour on the tread mill for some exercise. After dinner we went for a drive to the Duquesne incline for another look at the city this time by night lights. Took some really cool photos of the city and had a bit of a walk around at the lookout.

Heading to Cleveland Ohio tomorrow as we make our way north east across America heading towards Canada.

Saturday 23rd May
About a four hour drive to Pittsburgh today. Not really anything that exciting along the way. All freeway and nothing of note. Arrived at the motel and then headed to Walmart for a look. While at Walmart found a Lone Star restaurant and had dinner there. The food was really nice, a nice big steak and vegies!! Will head into Downtown Pittsburgh tomorrow.
