Today we got up late after a sleep in and went to see Toby at DMC. While in Seattle I was going to take the opportunity to get some car parts. After the visit there we got some lunch and then decided to drive to the Skagit Valley to the tulip fields. Was meant to be about an hour drive which ended up taking almost 3 hours. For some reason everyone was heading north and the traffic was horrendous. After arriving at Roozengaarde we parked up and entered this garden. We had just arrived with less than an hour before close. It was cold and it was spitting rain but was totally worth it. The walk to the tulip fields was cool. It was a bit muddy and wet but so cool to look at. The rows and rows of flowers were amazing and the colours so vivid and bright. The garden at the house was amazing too. There were so many varieties of tulips growing to show off what was available for sale. After leaving this garden we did a lap of the entire tulip area but most of the others had already been cut. The tulip festival had officially finished the week prior. At least we got to see the flowers.
We stopped off for dinner at Applebee's in Maryville before getting back to Seattle.
