yosemite

Monday 24th July 2017
Today we had a leisurely 90 minute drive to Yosemite. We got to the entrance and then stared to follow the road in.  A few miles in and we took a turn off to Glacier Point.  Not knowing what the lookout was we had no idea how amazing this was going to be.  On arrival we were in awe of the view.  Some 7500 feet above the valley and a great view of the half dome.  It was breath taking to say the least.  From there we headed back down through to the main part in the valley through the tunnel to Tunnel Lookout, stopping also to see Bridal Veil fall and Yosemite Falls. Did a few walks and took heaps of photos.  By 4.30pm we decided to get going as we had to get to San Francisco or Tiburon to be precise. We took 6 hours to cover just under 400ks and were tired by the time we arrived.  Also coming out of Yosemite there was a wild fire close by and the smoke made the sky look amazing.  Also saw the helicopter land that was involved in the fire fighting.

Look as though you are both having a great time. What great photos. The weather looks so lovely and warm, different to here, so cold and today will be wet and windy.
Suzanne left today and will be in Vancouver tomorrow, which to you is today.

Catch you later.

Lots of love,

Mum xxx
