Today we had a few hours before we had to go to the airport so we checked out of the motel, stored our bags and got the subway to the transport museum. It was only just across the river into Brooklyn a little bit. The museum is housed in an old subway station that is no longer in use. They have left everything there and placed trains on the tracks from all different years. The history was interesting going back over the subway being built, 9/11 and the cyclones etc that caused major shut downs. Got some lunch after the museum and then went and picked up our bags and one last walk past the memorial. That was 3pm and by the time we got to JFK and checked our luggage it was about 4.30pm. The plane to Seattle was delayed then by about half an hour. The flight was long, 5.5 hours in all and that mixed with a 3 hour time difference made us real tired. It was midnight by the time we got there and checked in to the motel. That was 3am NY time. Sleep in tomorrow before we go visiting Em and Barnabas.
