Sunday 17th April 2011.

As we are only staying 1 mile from Disneyland we have decided that we will do the parks first before we set off on our road trip. The weather was forecast to be nice and in the mid twenties. Up nice and early today so we can make the most of the day. Caught a bus to front gate from the motel, parted with our $101 plus tax each to enter, which gave us a park hopper ticket meaning we could go to Disneyland and California Disney. We started with California Disney and the first ride was the tower of terror which was awesome. Ended up staying at California Disney until about 2.00pm before we crossed parks to Disneyland. As it is the start of spring break here it was fairly busy, most of the rides had about a 40 to 50 minute wait so we made use of the fast pass tickets.

We stayed all day finishing off with the fireworks spectacular over the Disney Castle as Tinkerbell spread the fireworks as she flew overhead. The day was great and we all enjoyed it all, going on as many rides as humanly possible. We did not leave the park until about 11.00pm before we went to Ihop for dinner just out the front of the park on the main road back to the motel.

I have to say that the tower of terror would be one of the best rides closely followed by the California screamin' roller coaster.

Tomorrow we head for Death Valley as we start to head north.
