moab and utv's

We leave Salt Lake City nice and early with a 4.5 hour trip to Moab Utah.  We had to take a diversion that added 1 hour due to a mud slid on the road that we were meant to travel on.  We arrived into Moab at about 3.30 pm and got some Wendy's for lunch then went and checked in.  Bronte had looked at going on a UTV drive at 6.30 pm which went for 2.5 hours.

The UTV's were cool, we had to drive them on the road to the 4wd park which is set aside just for ATV's and 4X4's.  There are tracks that crisscross all over and we headed up to a point that looked over the Colorado River.  Ended up at another lookout that looked back over Moab.  There were some really nice modified Jeeps that were cruising around the park as well as a couple of Hummers.  The drive back to the starting point was really weird in the dark but lots of fun.   Now that it had gone 9 pm we headed straight to dinner at a restaurant next door to the motel named The Blu Pig.  They specialised in Steaks and burgers etc.  It was pretty yummy!!  Tomorrow we head to Canyonlands NP.
