Monday 7th June
Today we got going from the motel nice and early and hit the road. It was about a 500 km trip and was going to be through the winding road of the Rockies and was going to take several hours. The trip was good and there was some nice scenery along the way. We stopped off for lunch at a place named Revelstoke and had some A & W. We arrived at Banff at around 7.00 pm as we had passed a time zone during the day and lost an hour. The Motel Juniper was really nice, we had got a good deal from Hotwire paying about $80 and the room rates started at about $199, we also had a great view from our room. We went for a drive into the main part off Banff and it was really pretty. Lots of tourists everywhere and just like a resort. We went for a drive to a small water fall near the town and then got some dinner. We tried Boston Pizza and it was nice.

Back at the motel I decided to use the hot tub. It was located outside under a pergola and was nice a steamy hot. Given that it was only about 8 to 10 degrees outside the hot tub was really good. Soaked in there for about half and hour before going back to the room to watch some TV. Tomorrow we are off the Lake Louise and Yoho National Park.

Hi Richard and Bronte,
So much snow I am jealous. Did you do any skiing or just sightseeing? Appears to be never ending mountains and water everywhere. Seems as though you are having a great time. See you when you get back for the big celebration!!!
