Today we drove back into Savannah to have a look at Forsyth Park which was the biggest town square of the 21 town square's in historic Savannah. The park was really nice and the fact it was not raining was good. We had about a five hour drive and we had to get to Greensboro to meet Jade at work before 5.30 p.m. We arrived in the car park of the visitor information centre and met Jade who was most excited to see us. I last saw Jade a year ago on the Glenelg tram and we spent a few days prior to that with her in Calgary 2 years ago. We then went to our motel to check in and it was really swish. Stayed at the Hyatt Place right near Jade's house.
We spent some time catching up with Jade before going back to her house and then out to dinner at Smokey Bones. After dinner we went for a drive into downtown and spent a while in a Natty Greene's pub and brewery and then to another bar. It was a really nice night and it was great to catch up with Jade. Tomorrow we are going to Carnavale/Mardi Gras at an old castle. Cant wait for that.
