Today we wanted to check out the town of Savannah as it has a very cool historic area in the downtown area.  We drove to the visitor centre and parked the car.  We ended up catching a free bus which did laps every 20 minutes of the historic area.  While waiting for the bus it started to rain.  It was not cold but due to the storms around the area the sky was black and stormy.  The rain started and it poured down and did not stop.  Made our way to the river front area and got some lunch in a really cool old warehouse that had been converted to a pub.  After lunch it was still raining and looked like it was not going to give up.  We bought an umbrella to try and stay dry so we could walk around.  The town was very cool with all the Georgian houses and a pirates house which is the oldest wooden structure in Savannah.  We ended up walking around for a few hours and made our way back to the visitor centre where we picked up the car and then went for a drive out to Tybee Island and have a look at the beach and the lighthouse.  After checking out all the sites we went back to the room to get ready to go out for dinner.  Tomorrow we head to Greensboro in North Carolina.
